About the Vice Provost
Kenya Tyson is the Vice Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at Dartmouth, and serves as chief advisor to the Provost and chief innovation officer of the division. In this role, she oversees academic compliance, institutional research, resource planning, operations, and digital and online learning. She is also the advancement liaison for the Provost division. Prior to working at Dartmouth, Kenya was assistant provost at The New School in New York and associate dean for academic programs and student services at Rutgers University’s School of Criminal Justice.

About the Office
The Office of Strategic Initiatives and Innovation acts as the engine of the Office of the Provost, advancing strategic and academic priorities and fostering innovation at Dartmouth. We oversee institutional research and effectiveness, digital and online learning, strategic initiatives, policy and communications, finance and operations, the policy portal, and incubation for new initiatives.
Our work includes serving as the advancement liaison for the provost division and advising leaders of the provost divison’s centers, institutes, and programs on resource planning and allocation. The Vice Provost also serves as the compliance officer for the division.
