Call for Ethics Institute Director

Professor Sonu Bedi's second term as the Director of the Ethics Institute at Dartmouth ends on June 30, 2025.  We thank Sonu for his extraordinary work over six years in turning the Ethics Institute into a thriving center for ideas and engagement.  Bravo, Sonu!

The Ethics Institute Director is a part-time appointment of a tenured faculty member who is committed to the Institute's mission to advance the study and teaching of ethics throughout the Dartmouth community through public programming, fellowships, and funding for research and teaching. The Ethics Institute Director works closely with faculty and students, often in partnership with other departments, centers, and institutes across Dartmouth.

Nominations and self-nominations for the next Ethics Institute Director should be submitted to Provost David Kotz and Vice Provost Barbara Will by November 29. Please send a letter identifying the rationale for a recommendation or self-recommendation, including qualifications and aspirations for the next phase of the Institute to Office.of.the.Provost@dartmouth.edu.
